artgere....um, i mean artfest

in just over a week, i will be boarding a plane and heading down to seattle, where i hear spring is actually showing its pretty little head.

i am going to artfest with my lovely friend delta.
about 5 or 6 months ago, she told me about the event, and in a moment of pure impulsiveness, i signed up without so much as batting an eyelash.

artfest is held at fort worden in port townsend. it is the site where officer and a gentleman was filmed. my best high school friend sonja and i loved that movie and saw it countless times.

brings back memories, doesnt it??

the area looks beautiful and i'm looking forward to spending some time walking along the chilly coast, snapping photos.

i'll be taking a two day mosiacs class with katherine england. you check out her work here, and a one day class with bee shay.

in my recent realization that this trip was approaching, i began looking online for photos of the fort. unfortunately i came across this site which hints at how the place might be a bit haunted.
hmmmm.
information i could have lived without.

however, despite a ghost or two, the vibe will be good and just what the n.p. ordered.

i hope it jumpstarts some long hidden, creative spark i just know is smoldering somewhere deep, down inside.
