summer is upon us which here means days of gray with hints of glorious sunshine in between. we've been hovering in the 50's and the ferns are growing lush around the yard.
we got our annual parks pass the other day and headed up the pass to see what was going on up there.
we found these dainty, beautiful forget-me-nots peeking through the soft, spongy moss.

and here are a few "domesticated" beauties growing in the garden.
these are shooting stars. they normally grow wild in damp areas around the country.
but these volunteers appeared last week right alongside of all those foreign store-bought lovelies.

Love the flower pics! Is that last one columbine? Kinda looks like a variety. There are so many :) The forget-me-nots are alway so sweet :)

Haven't visited in a while- lovely pics, as usual. Must say that being greeted by "summer is upon us" in tandem with the blustery hat and shell seems somehow incongruent.... sun worshippers that we are and all....
SEE YOU REALLY REALLY SOON!
