love and marriage

i knew it.
after 9 years of marriage, my husband has revealed a huge secret.
he can cook. he is capable of following a recipe, and following it to perfection.
sucker.
life will never be the same here. its all over now!
never again can he say; "but... i dont know how..."
HA!
please, try this at home. it was delectable.

pacific halibut with olives and lemon

2 pounds of alaskan halibut or other white fish
3/4 cup dry white wine (such as sauvignon blanc)
1/2 cup mixed olives
zest from 1 lemon, cut into strips
1 tablespoon olive oil
salt. pepper.
1/4 tea red pepper flakes
1/4 cup fresh flat leaf parsley, chopped

heat oven to 400. place fish in a small roasting pan. (cast iron works nicely) add enough wine (about 1/4 cup) to reach halfway up the sides of the fish. scatter the olives and lemon zest around the fish. drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and both peppers. roast until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, about 20 minutes . remove an sprinkle with parsley. divide onto plates and spoon remaining olive and wine sauce over the top.
prepare to take off your clothes...
whoops, did i type that?
mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Hey Lisabeth - thanks for coming to my blog. I like yours as well and it is always great to hear from Colorado transplants.
That recipe sounds fabulous, I'll have to give it a try ... I'm always looking for tasty recipes.
Take care,
Brittany
