i have been sorting through some old photos on this cold and dark saturday.

i thought i would share how absolutely lovely my mothers mom was. her name was nathalie davis and she was a maine girl to the core.

she traveled all around the world after becoming a nurse and joining the army in the 40's.
this photo was taken in northern maine a bit before she left for nursing school in massachusetts. it was taken sometime around the early 1920's.
my nana is the one with the headband on the right as you look at the photo. i have many of these priceless photos.
isnt it delicious?

I just wanted to say hello. I live in Kotzebue, Alaska and stumbled onto your blog. Stop by sometime...I don't write much but I take photos. I too am looking forward to tomorrow. The shortest day of the year means it all gets better from here. It will be nice when I can finally take a decent daylight photo.
